Firstly, Eddie ate dinner with us for the first time. He had the same thing as us (spaghetti bolognese). This was possible because (a) it's a weekend so we could start cooking early enough and (b) he's currently going through a 'good patch' in terms of fussiness.
Having said that, our nice new dining room walls are now caked in mince and basil. He ate quite a lot, and on balance it was no more effort than feeding him dinner separately, so on the whole a success.
Secondly, Eddie made his first model. For months now he's been building towers from Duplo, but this time he actually made something. He made a car. It consisted of a big block with wheels, with another red block on top, and a man driving it. He not only proclaimed 'car!' but made some suitable vroom-vroom noises as he pushed it around. I'm not sure if he set out to make a car, or just recognised it when he built one, but it's definitely a big step forward in Duplo-land!
